PAMBuoy™ Classic

The PAMBuoy™ Classic unit has been developed to allow cost-effective, long term monitoring for marine mammals. This system consists of a robust buoy that can withstand offshore weather conditions. The on-board batteries are charged via solar panels allowing the system to run autonomously for years.

Unlike PAM systems that store raw data, the PAMBuoy™ Classic can transmit data to shore via 3G or Iridium allowing the user to view their data in real time. In addition, by sending data back to a central hub a set time-intervals, data loss resulting from equipment failure or-loss is minimised.

The system is monitored remotely and can be configured and updated wirelessly minimising maintenance costs.
